The updated text of the Russian Constitution with the amendments approved by popular vote, are published on the portal of legal information.
The amended Constitution came into force on 4 July. In the state Duma have already started to work on changing the legislative framework. According to the head of the Committee for state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov, need make about 80-90 laws to implement the new provisions of the Basic law.
The vote on the amendments was held from 25 June to 1 July inclusive. Residents of most of the Russian regions supported the amendments to the Basic law — the amendment was voted 77.92 percent. Against the constitutional changes were only the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where voted against 55,25% of participants of plebiscite.
