Disneyland will mark Pride Month in June by organizing two special events for the first time as part of its After Dark parties, on June 13 and 15.

The California theme park made the announcement just weeks after Governor Ron DeSantis announced the revocation of Disneyworld’s special legal status in Florida, a move seen by many as a response to Disney’s refusal to back a law that prohibits addressing issues of sexual orientation and gender identity in Florida elementary schools.

In California, the Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite festivities will celebrate the LGBTQ community by including after-hours theme park access, themed shows, Disney Character meet-and-greets, a special menu, and event-specific derivatives.

Special attractions include the Pride Nite Cavalcade on Main Street, a parade where you can see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle, Donald, Daisy and Goofy in costumes created for the occasion, not to mention the Ohana Dance dance parties Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, Pride Nite Dance Club near the Rivers of America and country line dancing at the Golden Horseshoe.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale this Tuesday at noon for Magic Key holders, while sales will open to the general public this Thursday at noon.
