In some regions of Russia tourism services went up by 25%. This was stated by the authorities of the cities.
“the Rise in prices for tourist services in Chelyabinsk region amounted to 15-25%, in Kaliningrad — 20%. While in Tver and Kaluga, in comparison with last year the cost of living in hotels increased by 5-20%”, — reports “Izvestia”.
In the Altai region recorded growth of prices for accommodation in the amount of 7-10%, in the Samara region a 7% increase in the cost of package tours. In some regions stated that it had maintained last year’s prices. These include the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, Irkutsk, Murmansk and Kostroma region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. According to the Professor, Ranepa Galina Dekhtyar, rising prices for tourism services is recorded everywhere. She noted that now the prices on vacation in Crimea, Sochi, even in the Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod regions is comparable to the price of the best hotels of Turkey and other countries.
The experts noted that the price increase is a necessary measure. Because of the pandemic, the tourism industry lost a significant part of the funds. So, in Irkutsk, Tambov, Kaliningrad, Voronezh region expect to wipe about 50-60% of last year’s earnings, and in Primorye — 87%. According to experts, the shortfall in the subjects of tourism revenues could adversely affect the implementation of local infrastructure projects.
Previously in Association of tour operators of Russia felt the price of the cheapest holidays at sea for the Russians. The minimum cost of a week tour on the sea for two in the first week of August is 24.5 thousand rubles.
