Moscow. May 3. INTERFAX.RU — In Washington have sufficient evidence to suggest that the coronavirus COVID-19 began to spread around the world from a lab in the Chinese city of Wuhan, said on Sunday in interview to the American TV channel ABC News U.S. Secretary of state Michael Pompeo.
“There is considerable evidence that this virus came out (from the walls) of the laboratory in Wuhan,” said he.
He noted that many experts believe that the virus has an artificial origin, at the same time, adding that it is aware of reports of scientists who on the basis of DNA tests say about the natural origin COVID-19.
Pompeo abstained from answering the question of whether the spread of the virus was intentional or it happened as a result of the incident in the lab.
“We are doing everything we can to get answers to all these questions. We are trying to send a group (of experts) there, the world health organization is trying to send a group (of experts), and other laboratories in China, but the Chinese Communist party continues to block the access”, he added.
In late April, U.S. President Donald trump said that by his country the investigation will be able to get all the information about the origin COVID-19.
Earlier it was reported that the US is waging a full-scale investigation of the origin of the coronavirus and why China has not managed to stop its spread. According to one version, appeared in the media, in Washington do not exclude that the virus comes from a scientific laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
