A young woman was sexually harassed during the storming of the Max-Morlock-Stadtion in Nuremberg on Sunday. A man is said to have grabbed her crotch and tried to touch her under her football shirt. Fans intervened, but the man was able to escape. Now the police are investigating.

A man is said to have sexually molested a young woman during the storming of the pitch after the second division game between 1. FC Nürnberg and Schalke 04 on Sunday. She made the incident in Max-Morlock-Stadtion public on Monday on Twitter and filed a complaint.

“Such a storming of the square isn’t that much fun when you suddenly feel a hand on your buttocks in the crowd, which then also grabs your crotch and ultimately tries to pull your jersey out of your pants and put it under your jersey …”, the victim describes the situation on her Twitter account. “I just want to tell you this because some people allow themselves to touch others against their will and this is not an isolated case,” she continues.

However, the woman quickly got help: fans who noticed the situation intervened and were even able to take a photo of the perpetrator, which the police now have. However, the man managed to escape. The responsible department is now investigating against the still unknown man, said the police spokesman to “Northern Bavaria”. The young woman was relieved about the help, but also emphasized: “Others in such a situation do not receive any help and then suffer serious psychological damage.”
