The Polish authorities are ready to become a mediator between the authorities and opposition in Belarus. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to preliminary, incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko scored 80,08% of the vote. After the end of voting in cities of Belarus began to protest.

Yesterday the foreign Ministers of the countries triangle of Lublin, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine Linas Linkevičius, Jacek Czaputowicz and Dmytro Kuleba, has urged the Belarusian authorities to refrain from using force and to release all detainees. They also expressed readiness to facilitate dialogue between the authorities and the opposition. Today, the Polish authorities have expressed willingness to mediate between them.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that Poland participates in the leadership of the protests in Belarus. Yesterday Czaputowicz called the accusation unfounded and expressed continued interest in Poland’s neighborly relations with Belarus and called on its government to stop its repression.
