the Event, frankly, is welcome, because the module was created more than 15 years. He has many times improved, altered, it was and resolved the problem. Now he was tested in a vacuum chamber, which created conditions as close to those that await him in space. Tested pneumo-hydraulic system, sealed enclosure, and other designs, were tested as they meet the requirements for successful task performance.

the Module “Science” should become one of the largest in the station, say it weighs about 21 tons. He was waiting for astronauts and scientists, he will bring the research to a new level. Thus, the space research Institute intends to install two scientific instruments. The first is “Convergence” – a complex to study the climatic changes on Earth. The second side of the neutron detector to study neutron flux from the Earth, which occurs when the interaction of cosmic rays with the atmosphere. Also on the module for an experiment “Vampire” on the creation of the latest crystals for infrared sensors to be used on the satellites of the group “Sphere”. In the module it is also planned to experiment on embryo development in the eggs of quails.

But this is only a small part of the scientific program to be performed on the new module. His 10-year-old resource that will actually provide the Russian segment of the ISS until 2030. For scientific research, the module provides 30 jobs. High degree of automation will reduce the number of costly spacewalks – a operation overboard can be performed without leaving the station.

On the module will be installed European robot arm with a length of 11.3 meters, weighing 600 kg, with a maximum lifting capacity of 8 tons. It is designed to service the Russian segment of the ISS without the EVAs. The robot can move some large ISS modules, it is also able to grab and move objects up to 5 millimeters.

Also, there is installed a robot “Teledroid” . To manage it while working in the open space with a special suit avatar like from the ISS and from Earth.

it is Planned that the module will go to the International space station in the second quarter of 2021. Docking will take about 10 spacewalks.
