There was the brand (Cocooning Love), the beauty products, now here is the coffee. Welcome to Cocooning Café, located in the former Muscade, avenue du Mont-Royal.
After quietly closing last month, Muscade has indeed given way to this cute sunny vegan haunt, a great address in this eastern corner of the Plateau, right between Croissant Croissant and the Café boutique Les Malins. Let’s just say that we no longer lack good cafes in the area!
But be careful, Cocooning Café is not just a café, even if its formidable oat milk latte will appeal to many cow’s milk diehards (true fact!), if you can find vegan croissants here (from the Jarry bakery) or large biscuits (from the Cookieliciousss biscuit factory), in addition to a short menu of sandwiches (always vegan), perfect for a light snack.
There is more. Cocooning Café also has a boutique area at the back, with all Cocooning Love products, from lip balms and hair masks to rose water and whipped butters. Great gift ideas, if you want our opinion, as a bonus “vegan, natural, and as eco-responsible as possible”, sums up the proud owner, Carole Dewerre, at the head of the brand for eight years.
“It’s a universe where we can also hold events,” she adds. The evening of our visit, last week, there was an evening around Meyeur conversational card games.
A word, finally, about the soothing minimalist decoration, signed Allstudio. The light wood furniture, made up of a few tables, a handful of stools, and above all a long bench seat, leaves all the spotlight here to the large windows in the corner. If you are lacking sunlight, know that you are in the right place.
