Bouna Sarr has been with FC Bayern for two years, but the right-back is not playing in Munich. A departure is likely following the signing of Noussair Mazraoui.

Little playing time: In October 2020, FC Bayern took Bouna Sarr from Olympique Lyon for nine million euros. But the right-back, who was given a four-year contract, can’t begin to assert himself in Munich. Sarr has only made five appearances in the Bundesliga this season, all together he only played a measly 59 minutes.

Internal competition: The “Kicker” reports that the record champions would let Sarr go with a specific offer. In addition, Noussair Mazraoui is another right-back from Ajax Amsterdam to Munich. Thus, the 30-year-old would get even less playing time in the coming season.

Signs of farewell: There wasn’t really room for the Senegalese this season, the signs are clearly pointing to farewell from Munich, even if Sarr is held in high esteem by the players. But Bayern want and need to save more on salaries and so a change would probably be best for both sides.
