Novak spoke about Putin's role in the transaction OPEC+

the Head of Ministry Alexander Novak said that Russian President Vladimir Putin played a key role in reaching deals to OPEC+. He told about it on air of TV channel “Russia 1”.

As stated the Russian Minister, in recent days, the head of state several times talked with his us counterpart Donald trump and the king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul-Aziz al Saud.

Novak emphasizes that the parties resolved the issues and controversies related to this transaction. “It was constant negotiations in detail. Without the participation of the President, the deal could not take place”, – noted the head of the Ministry of energy of Russia.

OPEC Members+ 12 April finally agreed to conclude new deals. By its terms, the reduction of oil production in may-June this year amounted to 9.7 million barrels per day. Further this amount will reduce to 7.7 million barrels. The final agreement involves a three-step reduction to get the black gold until the end of April 2022.

Earlier it was reported that Putin welcomed the agreement reached by OPEC+.
