Denis Côté’s Mademoiselle Kenopsia will have its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), after debuting at Locarno. The information was released on Monday by Voyelles Films, which at the same time unveils the trailer for the film.

The work of filmmaker Denis Côté will be presented in the Wavelenghts series, focusing on art films and videos. It is a showcase for avant-garde cinema from the contemporary arts.

Mademoiselle Kenopsia features a woman played by Larissa Corriveau, “obsessed” with monitoring anonymous interiors. A way for the creator to reflect “on our relationship to time, to loneliness and to the melancholy of spaces emptied of human activity”, writes Voyelles Films.

This 15th feature film by Denis Côté also counts on the participation of Évelyne de la Chenelière, Olivier Aubin and Hinde Rabbaj.
