Migrants transferred to Ukraine $12 billion in 2019

migrant workers from Ukraine moved back home $12 billion in 2019, which had a favourable impact on the currency market, reports the national Bank of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine stated that on a permanent basis abroad has 3.2 million citizens, in a separate period this figure increases to 7-9 million people.

“a Favorable situation on the foreign exchange market throughout most of last year determined consistently high volumes of receipts from labor migrants (about us $12 billion)”, — reported in national Bank.

Earlier, the Deputy Minister of economic development, trade and agriculture Sergey Nikolaichuk said that by the end of 2018 working Ukrainians abroad remitted over $11 billion.
