Microsoft has suspended talks with the Chinese company ByteDance about app purchase TikTok, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources.
The reason was the statement of U.S. President Donald trump that he will not support the purchase of TikTok an American company and would prefer to ban the app in the country, said the sources.
Previously, trump said that he intends to authorize the application lock on all areas of the country due to the fact that it supposedly can transmit personal user data to Chinese authorities.
