Lukashenko will plant trees in the area affected by the Chernobyl accident

MINSK, 25 APR – RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during the Republican subbotnik to plant trees in the district affected by the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, said on Saturday the press service of the President.

According to her, on the twentieth of April, Lukashenko traditionally visited areas affected by the Chernobyl accident. The report notes that the revival of these lands, special attention is always given and given that this time the President’s trip coincided with the conduct of the country’s national work day, Lukashenko decided to take part in work on the territory of national Park “Pripyatsky”.

One of the four national parks of Belarus – “Pripyat” is located between the rivers Pripyat, Stviga and Ubort. Here under special protection is about 190 thousand hectares and more than a third is an absolute wildlife refuge.
