(London) Lucasfilm announces three more films in the acclaimed Star Wars series.

Company president Kathleen Kennedy made the announcement on Friday at the “Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023” in London. Lucasfilm also posted the news on its website.

Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey in one of the three films. The names of the three directors have also been announced: they are James Mangold, Dave Filoni and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. All three were presented by Kathleen Kennedy in London.

The episode of Mangold will take us back to the beginning of the Jedis, that of Filoni to the era of the New Republic. This will complete the story told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka and other Disney Channel series.

The third film will be a sequel to The Rise of Skywalker. It will feature Daisy Ridley whose character Rey will attempt to establish a new Jedi order.

Mangold has directed two films in the Wolverines series and the upcoming Indiana Jones (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny). Filoni shot The Mandalorian and Ahsoka and Obaid-Chinoy directed Ms. Marvel and Saving Face.
