In fact, Biden supported not Ukraine, but “Anti-Russia”: America is with Ukraine, while the meaning of its existence is in opposing Russia on all fronts. Space, cybersecurity, defense cooperation, information exchange-all in the context of conducting a “proxy” war with Russia, and not the development of Ukraine itself.
But at the same time, there are no specifics on important topics for Zelensky: neither about the MAP in NATO, nor about the Nord Stream -2 . But the increased involvement of Ukraine in the “green” energy sector, the “immediate” election of a new head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office in Ukraine and other instructions of the “Big Brother”, how exactly Ukraine needs to live. A curious nuance: the treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and assistance to Ukraine in its elimination has been extended for seven years. I think this is a good response from Biden to the Ukrainian arguments about restoring the status of a nuclear power: these toys are not for you.
In general, everything went without surprises: “fight with Russia, America will always support you in this.” But no one will give guarantees from the Afghan scenario – the rapid withdrawal of America, when an ally becomes not an asset, but a burden.
