Italy has extended the state of emergency imposed in the country due to the outbreak of coronavirus until October 15, CNN reports, citing a government statement. “The Council of Ministers upon the proposal of the President, Giuseppe Conte approved the extension,” — said in a statement.
Italy was one of the first European countries affected by the virus, and 31 January, imposed a state of emergency.
The regulatory framework gives the government special powers to restrict certain freedoms and access to additional resources to stop and contain the spread COVID-19.
According to the Johns Hopkins University in the country was 246 776 cases of coronavirus and 35 of 129 deaths.
