The Committee on water management and melioration of Crimea has announced a competition on carrying out of experimental aviation works with the aim to induce rainfall. The corresponding document was published Tuesday on the website of public procurement.

“the experimental aviation works on the active influence for the purpose of artificial increase of precipitation for the flow of water in water objects of the Republic of Crimea” — reads in electronic form.

Execution of works is valued at 25,464 million rubles. The total planned flight of the aircraft — not less than 25 hours. The contractor shall ensure that an artificial increase in precipitation on the Peninsula is not less than 15% of the monthly (seasonal) amount.

Work is planned with the use of aircraft equipped with nitrogen generator and devices for shooting of cartridges with silver iodide. It is noted that reagents and their application for performance of work must meet special document of Roshydromet in 2002.

Potential contractors can submit applications till August 25.
