A protest against the monarchical form of government was held in Adride.

According to the newspaper the National, the demonstrators marched through the city centre shouting: “people’s Republic”.

The participants also opposed, in their view, the “corrupt monarchy”. Protest organizers argue that the country’s inhabitants increasingly reject the current role of state institutions, including the monarchy. The action was supported by some Catalan separatist organizations and political parties that through social networks called to join the demonstration.
