As described in the Committee on youth policy, creative competition “Card to the veteran” was held in St. Petersburg in April of this year. The best work printed in greeting cards. Their soldiers will take volunteers participating in the project #Myvote.

the Cards and the ribbons are planned to start to carry on may 4. It is assumed that the elderly residents of St. Petersburg will also receive a congratulatory food packages. In the meantime, the volunteers that help seniors with the delivery of food and medicine, work as usual.

the Day starts with the completion of the “health diary”. Before going on shift, each volunteer is required to measure the temperature and enter data into an online system. It seems to be a formality, but disciplinarum.

Applications usually start to lay from ten in the morning, but the first volunteers to appear in the chat hours with an eight – can’t wait to get to work. Every day the number of volunteers in the project grows, the number of pensioners seeking help at the hot line remains approximately the same. Therefore, emerging applications deal in seconds. “Soon it will be necessary to bribe the coordinators to work” – joking volunteers.

Volunteer day is in its normal, guys are leaving their jobs, occasionally sharing in chat rooms experience. Very different people, very different stories. Funny, touching, sad.

“the demand for delivery of medications made. It turned out that we met grandma were when you were walking their bulldogs”.

“I Have a mysterious order: a kilogram of chicken mince, onions and carrots and… five bottles of “Schweppes” strictly brand specific. Guess it’s some weird recipe?”

“And we are asked to buy seven pounds of nails.”

“And we drove in homeopathic pharmacy from Pushkin at the Nevskiy. Three bottles toothpaste with sea salt for six hundred rubles each”.

“I few days good luck smiles – the sellers are responsive! Pharmacy gave several pairs of gloves, the other with a discount card (“You’re a volunteer, you’ll appreciate”). Cashiers in stores, seeing a volunteer badge, punch products with my discount. And all smiles. Under the masks, but the eyes see the truth. For such amenities is to do it.”

“Grandma in Shushary asked to buy medicine for 150 rubles, and the cheapest bread… I came, I ask, why is it dark? She says: “my Child, not the night light does not include, save”.

“Urgent! Are there any men near Savushkina? Then you need to help to make grandma to the emergency room”…

“Someone in the head flew chocolate as a thank you? To me that’s happened now. Wanted to thank, I said that is not necessary. Went down – and I ran the chocolate through the span”.

“Just completed the most sweet application. The applicant sent me to McDonald’s. Ask, want, Krupa there any? “No,” says, “I love cheeseburgers”. I could not refuse. That moment when grandma is 88 years old versed in fast food better than me, I don’t eat.”

One volunteer just places to chat photography infinitely long check. Offhand it positions forty, no less. In fact, volunteers have a right to refuse to purchase products for such a long list – according to the rules of the project, the application must contain up to ten items. This is most often not respected, but not that much… “it’s All right, – says a volunteer. The list was small, just something I decided to buy from yourself.”

Along the way, without detracting from other businesses, guys in one area throw grandma on the electric stove and kettle, the other on products. Of course, you can make charity, but the volunteers decided not to wait, to help the poverty-stricken grandmother urgently. Such small miracles in the city occur daily and repeatedly. That is, they are small – young cheerful people who is easy online to chip in a hundred or two. And for an old lady fend loaves for eleven roubles, the huge and invaluable.

At the end of the day, the coordinators of the districts write their teams words of thanks: “you guys are the best! All applications made. Thanks for the sincerity and responsiveness! And please take care of yourself.”
