“I Have no proof of this, and I can’t say I have,” — said the head of state on the question of Russia’s role in the riots.

At the same time Vucic said that the protests were attended by “weirdos” from other countries. The President also said that on July 13, he will meet with Russian Ambassador in Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko, however, did not specify the topic of conversation.

Earlier, the Russian foreign Ministry responded to the accusations in the riots in Serbia. According to Russian diplomats, the statement about “Russian trace” in the riots in Serbia are “low-paid”. Representatives of the foreign Ministry said that such statements are made in order to cast a shadow on the Russian-Serbian partnership.

On 7 July in Belgrade there are protests against quarantine measures imposed by the government, Serbs stormed the Parliament building in protest. A small group managed to break through a police cordon and break into the parliamentary building, but the protesters pushed back the police. After the arrival of reinforcements, security forces used tear gas to drive away the crowd from the Parliament.
