In Romania fined 11 people for a picnic during the quarantine

CHISINAU, 24 APR — RIA Novosti. Romanian law enforcement agencies have fined on 30 thousand dollars a company of 11 people that had a picnic in the city Salcea, Suceava County, where quarantine was imposed due to the coronavirus, the press service of the Romanian police.

a Resident of the Romanian city Salcea decided on 20 April to celebrate the Easter holidays with a picnic in his yard. All events he showed to broadcast to Facebook and jokingly suggested police to fine those present, calling them names.

“it is Established that a young man from Calci… organized a private event in my backyard, which was attended by people who do not live at this address, which is a violation of the restrictions on movement. Police have identified 11 people,.. the total fine for them amounted to 135 thousand lei (30 thousand dollars)”, – is spoken in the message published on the website of the police of Romania.

the police acknowledge that the reason for the test was the video posted on social networks. Such a strict punishment due to the fact that in the Suceava County quarantined because of the coronavirus, there was the highest number of cases of infections COVID-19.

Earlier, the authorities reported that in Romania was 10096 cases of infection with coronavirus, of which nearly a quarter was in the Suceava County, to date there 2417 cases.
