Riot police in Minsk opened fire with pump action shotguns people from balconies shouted the protesters, reports Sputnik of Belarus.

"On Dzerzhinsky Avenue, near the metro station "Grushevka," the congregation of paddy wagons ran from the riot police. The protesters started running away. People with shared balconies of the adjacent high-rises shouted to them where to hide, in response to the "focal points" fired several shots from a pump action rifles" – says the Agency.

Mass protests began across Belarus on 9 August, after the presidential election, won by incumbent Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, according to the CEC, he scored 80,08% of the vote. Sunday’s unsanctioned rally continues, but they harshly suppressed by the security forces. Against protesters, the law enforcement officers used tear gas, water cannons, stun grenades, and rubber bullets. As reported, the interior Ministry, during the riots one person was killed, he tried to throw an unidentified explosive device in the direction of law enforcement.
