In Kazakhstan more than 200 health care workers infected with coronavirus

NUR-SULTAN, 13 APR – RIA Novosti. More than 200 medical workers of Kazakhstan had contracted the coronavirus since then, as the infection was recorded in the country, this is 20.5% of the overall number of infections, said the Chairman of the Committee of quality control of security of products and services of the Ministry of health of the Republic Lyudmila Berbekova.

Kazakhstan 979 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 12 of them fatal. On March 16, the country has a regime of emergency.

“Among health professionals was 211 cases, the share of which in the Republic the number of cases is 20.5%,” said Berbekova at the briefing.

She noted that such cases were registered in medical institutions in 13 regions of the Republic, but the proportion was highest in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, North-Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions.

According to Berbekova, analysis of morbidity among health care workers indicates a weak vigilance regarding infection COVID-19. Basically, medics get an infection due to the fact that they are not supplied with individual protection, their operating mode is broken, but the technical condition of the objects in which they practice does not meet the necessary requirements.
