All residents of Catalonia will be required to wear masks outside the home, despite whether the possibility of social distance or not, this decision was taken by the government of the Spanish Autonomous community of Catalonia.
"We think that making it mandatory to use masks, we can guarantee that they will be used, when necessary, and avoid situations where people relax," – has declared on a press-conferences the representative of Generalitat (government) of Catalonia, Maricel Budo.
Currently throughout Spain a regulation of the government according to which masks mandatory in public transport, streets and other public places, if you can not observe the social distance of two meters.
Budo believes that the input of regional authorities, the measure will help combat the spread of the virus.
"We need to introduce measures for their use, until we have other mechanisms," said Budo, urging people to justice.
The representative did not specify whether this measure will also apply to those who are involved in sports, or on visitors to the beaches. Still wearing masks in these situations, it is optional.
Thus, according to Budo, health authorities believe that it is necessary "to make their use mandatory always".
Earlier the adviser of health of the Alba Verges stated that her office will offer Generalitat to introduce this measure due to local outbreaks of the disease in some areas.
