Haftar declared himself ruler of Libya

The head of the Libyan national army, Khalifa Haftar made an appeal, which called invalid Libyan political agreement, and declared himself head of state.

He stated that the agreement is null and void on Libya, in connection with which he “accepted the mandate of the Libyan people” to govern the country. He also said the lack of authority being the government in Tobruk, according to The Libya Observer.

“the Libyan people decided that a political agreement is a part of history. We accept the fact that you have chosen the Libyan people, and now our army will be ahead”, – quotes the words of the Haftarah.

Earlier the Russian foreign Ministry said that the warring parties in Libya no longer comply with announced in January, the truce, the events in this country are alarming.
