Roskomnadzor sent Google a request with the requirement to explain the reason for the removal from YouTube channel of NTV television address of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the citizens in pandemic coronavirus. About it reports a press-Department service.
“the Requirement to explain the reasons for blocking YouTube address of the President of Russia is directed to Google. At the request of Roskomnadzor specified that the video violated part 5, article 29 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation on the prohibition of the Russian censorship”, – said the press service.
Thus in Department noted that in recent years, cases of blocking on the global platforms of Russian media, including statements by officials regarding informing citizens on the situation with coronavirus undertaken by the government measures to combat the pandemic.
