Former Bundesliga professional Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has announced his retirement from the Gabon national football team.

As the national association announced on Wednesday, the FC Barcelona striker had written about his decision. The 32-year-old selection captain, who played for Borussia Dortmund from 2013 to 2018, had played for his home country for 13 years. He had scored 30 goals, the biggest success during this time was reaching the quarter-finals of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
