Marc Cucurella joined the Premier League from Spain last summer. After his first season in England, several top clubs are now courting the defender’s services.
Successful debut: Last year, Brighton signed 23-year-old Marc Cucurella for 18.1 million euros from Spanish top division club FC Gatafe. After an outstanding season, the left-back has become a hot transfer candidate. The Spaniard won 67 percent of his tackles in 35 league appearances this season.
53 million: Chelsea FC has also expressed an interest in Cucurella. With the departures of Antonio Ruediger, Andreas Christensen and possibly Cesar Azpilicueta, the Blues need a new defender. But according to the “Sun” they would have to dig deep into their pockets and pay a transfer fee of around 53 million euros.
Top clubs: In addition to Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have also taken a look at the 23-year-old. Cucurella says: “When the opportunity arises, you have to take it. There are teams you can’t say no to,” reports the “Dailymail”.
