MOSCOW, may 2 – RIA Novosti. Vice-President of the Congress of Jewish religious communities and organizations of Russia (KEROOR), Rabbi Zinovy Kogan died on Friday, said Saturday his son Ilya.
“Yesterday, Zinoviy L. Kogan did not have a stroke. Ilya Kogan”, – he wrote on the page Zinovy Kogan in the social network Facebook.
the Rabbi was known for his active participation in interfaith dialogue, he attended many events with the participation of representatives of Christian, Muslim and Buddhist communities in Russia. Previously, Cohen supported the idea of Patriarch Kirill to add to the preamble of the Constitution mention God and offered his own formulation – “preserve and bless the God of Russia.”
He was 78.
