Mesut Özil has not ended his football career yet. Corresponding reports from Friday were denied by his management on Saturday.

“There’s nothing to it. Mesut Özil will definitely end the season at Basaksehir,” the management of the 2014 world champion told the German Press Agency on Saturday. On Friday there were rumors in Turkey about a contract termination in Istanbul and the end of the 34-year-old’s career.
