Hollywood stars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have a mud fight in front of a US court – now the bitter legal battle is entering the final round. Heard took the stand again.

Amber Heard collapsed again on what may be her last appearance on the witness stand. “I’m harassed, humiliated, and threatened every single day just walking into this courtroom,” Heard said Thursday in the Fairfax, Virginia County Court.

“I regularly get hundreds of death threats, almost every day. Thousands since this process began,” the actress added, her voice shaking. “People want to kill me – they tell me that every day. People want to put my baby in the microwave, they tell me that too.” Heard has a one-year-old daughter, Oonah Paige Heard.

“People make fun of my statements that I was abused,” she said. It was “scary, painful and the most humiliating thing I’ve ever had to go through.” Nobody deserves that. “Maybe it’s easy to forget that I’m human too.”

Depp once told her that if she left him, he would make sure she thought of him every day of her life, Heard testified. “Johnny has taken enough of my voice and the right to tell my story. I have the right to tell what happened.”

Depp had defended himself against his ex-wife’s allegations of abuse the day before. He “never” used physical violence in his relationship with Heard, Depp said. Revealing yourself in court is not easy for anyone. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star stressed that he told the truth in the proceedings. The “Aquaman” actress had repeatedly accused her former husband of violent behavior on the witness stand.

The civil lawsuit between ex-husbands Depp (58) and Heard (36), which has been going on for six weeks, is in its final phase. Closing arguments are expected on Friday, after which the case will go to the jury.

In his civil lawsuit, Depp alleges that his ex-wife made false statements in a 2018 op-ed by the Washington Post about domestic violence. This damaged his reputation. Depp is suing for around 50 million dollars (a good 46 million euros) in damages for defamation, Heard has filed a counterclaim for 100 million dollars.

The two actors met in 2009 while filming the joint film The Rum Diary. They married in 2015, but after 15 months of marriage, Heard filed for divorce.
