At a distance of about 0.2 astronomical units from the supermassive black hole Sgr A* located in the center of the milky Way, discovered the source of quasi-periodic radiation of millimeter range waves. A study by the international team of scientists published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, according to the Observatory, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).

Obtained with the help of Observatory data has allowed to establish that the frequency of radiation is approximately equal to half an hour — time to complete orbit around the supermassive black hole the inner edge of its accretion disk. This circumstance means that the radiation source is located at a distance of 0.2 astronomical units from Sgr A*, the corresponding radius of the inner edge of the accretion disk.

the appearance of the anomalous radiation associated with exotic phenomena occurring in the vicinity of a supermassive black hole, in particular, with the existence of a heated dust sources, located directly on the inner edge of the accretion disk.

In November 2016 theoretical physicists Stephen Hawking, Malcolm Perry and Andrew Strominger proposed to extend classical description of black holes. To do this it is proposed with the introduction of new conservation laws to describe the gravity of an object with a much larger number of parameters than it is today.

a Black hole is a massive object that, according to classical physics, is not able to leave no particle. In the spherically symmetric case, the size is determined by the gravitational radius. Typically a black hole surrounds the accretion disk, consisting of a heated matter of which falls inside the object and another outside. Supermassive black hole Sgr A* is removed from the Earth at a distance of about 26 thousand light years. The object heavier than the Sun more than 4 million times. The gravitational radius of Sgr A* is estimated at about 0.08 astronomical units.
