Central Bank asked to reduce public activity Glazyev at the time of a pandemic

the Central Bank has sent the Ministry a letter in which he criticized the Minister of the Eurasian economic Commission (EEC) Sergei Glazyev and asked to limit its information activity, reports “Interfax”. Earlier Glazyev accused the Central Bank, in March, the fall of the ruble and proposed to introduce a tax on transactions in foreign currency.

According to the source “Interfax” in one of the departments, the treatment of CB associated with the report Glazyev devoted to stabilization measures in the economy. The Minister proposed a number of measures to neutralize the currency speculators that use of fluctuations of oil prices to manipulate the exchange rate. In particular, he put forward the idea of entering the Eurasian economic Union (EEU), including in Russia, the tax on currency exchange.

After that, the controller asked the Ministry with a letter in which he criticized the actions of Glazyev. The Central Bank pointed out that the Minister of information contains a number of inaccuracies and carries reputational risks for joint government and Bank of Russia. The Central Bank has offered economic development to consider the optimization of the “communication activities Glazyev” as a member of the EEC Board from Russia.

Note that Glazyev has repeatedly criticized the policy of the Bank of Russia. So, on April 16, he said that the March fall of the ruble after the collapse of world oil prices, caused by the collapse of the deal, OPEC+, due not only to the actions of speculators, but the lack of opposition from the Central Bank.
