A nationwide vote on the law on the amendment to the Constitution passed in conditions of unprecedented pressure from abroad. This was stated by member of the Central electoral Commission of Russia Alexander Klyukin during meeting of the temporary Commission of the Federation Council for the protection of state sovereignty and prevent interference in the internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

According to him, during the voting, the foreign media and social networks were "filled with revelations in quotes and lies".

He stressed that the voting process "the Russian people actually voted for a vote of full confidence in the Russian President Vladimir Putin".
"Hoping that the cries of irregularities and fraud will be possible to question the outcome of the vote. But the electoral system of Russia as a whole worked confidently and clearly, providing a clean, clear vote, even in a pandemic," concluded Klyukin.
A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution ended on the territory of Russia at 21:00 MSK on July 1. Amendments to the Constitution supported 77,92% of voters voted against of 21.27%, according to data of the CEC, after processing 100% of protocols.
