As part of an “SID” survey, almost 1,200 fans voted FC Bayern “Winter Transfer Champion”. According to fans, the winter transfer windows of Joao Cancelo (Manchester City) and Yann Sommer (Borussia Mönchengladbach) were the best in the Bundesliga.
Cancelo clearly led the ranking with 47.5 percent of the votes, followed by Bayern’s new keeper Sommer with 20.0 percent. BVB newcomer Julian Ryerson (Union Berlin) landed in rank, the Norwegian received 10.7 percent of the votes.
With a view to the international transfer market, fans rated Joao Felix’s move to Chelsea as the top transfer with 23.7 percent. Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his transfer to Saudi Arabia to Al-Nasr (14.8 percent) followed in second place, and another newcomer from Chelsea came in third: The Ukrainian Michailo Mudryk got 12.8 percent of the votes.
Curious: Although Chelsea spent more than 300 million euros on new players in the winter, the majority (41.3 percent) of fans expect the Blues to miss out on qualifying for the Champions League. Chelsea are currently only in eighth place in the Premier League and are already nine points behind a CL place.
