By 2024, biometrics on public transport will be introduced everywhere in Russia. We are talking about buses, planes and trains. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev during the marathon “New Knowledge” at the Eastern Economic Forum.

“By 2024, we are going to create in Russia the possibility of using biometrics as a passport, which you will use in all public modes of transport. They will scan your face, they will find out that it is you, ” the minister is quoted as saying by TASS.

Biometrics assumes the ability to identify a person and allow him to pay for services without resorting to “traditional” documents like a passport.
