On Wednesday, Presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Joe Biden met in Washington. The American leader said that the United States and Ukraine will resume the work of the commission on strategic partnership. His words are transmitted by the press service of the White House.

“We are resuming the work of the commission on strategic partnership between our countries and are creating a new mechanism for strategic defense and a new $ 60 million package of defense assistance,” Biden said.

The American president also promised to help Ukraine in the issue of European integration, noting that the United States still stands in the position of supporting Ukrainian territorial integrity in the face of “Russian aggression.”

At the meeting, Biden also hoped that one day he would visit Ukraine again, where he last visited in 2017 on a working visit as Vice President of the United States.
