Yilmaz Feinkost GmbH is currently recalling a batch of its rosemary. The reason for this is that the carcinogenic substance ethylene oxide was detected in tests.

Yilmaz Feinkost GmbH informs about a recall via “ProductWarning.eu”. In the article “Rosmarin” from the Baharim brand, the substance ethylene oxide or its degradation product 2-chloroethanol was detected in a batch.

When consumed, this can be mutagenic, toxic to reproduction and carcinogenic. Consumption of the affected products is therefore strongly discouraged.
