In Berlin, a man was apparently deliberately pushed onto a railway track and killed.

The incident occurred at the Oranienburger Strasse S-Bahn station in the Mitte district, a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday. The victim was hit by a train and died.

A man is suspected of the crime and has been arrested, said the spokeswoman. The police homicide squad and the Berlin public prosecutor’s office have taken over the investigation. The identity of the victim was not initially known. The S-Bahn driver and a witness were taken to hospital in shock.
