Tom Brady announced his retirement on Wednesday. The most successful footballer of all time posted a video on social media and explained his reasons in an emotional message.
The 45-year-old was sitting on a beach. To this very place someone went and filled two bottles with sand. The person put one of the glasses up for sale on Ebay. The platform reads: “You won’t find another offer like this, no one else took a sample on February 1st after the GOAT announced their final retirement. They will own the piece of land where the GOAT announced its retirement.”
As evidence, the person attached pictures of the spot with markers and a daily newspaper to the action.
The starting bid was $677, a tribute to Brady’s career touchdowns. There were 24 bids until Saturday noon, the highest bid is currently an incredible 99,900.00 US dollars – for a bottle of sand!
It remains to be seen whether the collector’s item will still reach the six-digit sum. The promotion lasts until the Super Bowl on February 12th.
