Jürgen Klinsmann knows Hertha BSC well. After the club’s rescue, the short-term coach announced in an interview that, in his opinion, the club could never be successful without a new stadium.
“Disaster” avoided: Immediately after the rescue of Hertha BSC, Jürgen Klinsmann spoke up. The coach who had an incredibly unfortunate appearance in Berlin a few years ago and ended it with a drastic reckoning. Now he says to the “Rheinische Post”: “For Hertha, the relegation would have been a disaster, with all the financial effort involved. It’s good that he was avoided, but that shouldn’t overshadow everything else.”
10 to 15 points less? Klinsmann sees an urgent need for Hertha to take action when it comes to the home venue: “It would be important for Hertha to finally have a real football stadium. Hertha starts the season with minus ten to 15 points in the Olympic Stadium because there is no home game atmosphere.
“So much economic power!” Klinsmann regrets that this is no longer possible in Berlin. “It is a great pity that a location like Berlin, which has so much economic power, like Stuttgart, which has just saved itself, is not completely different stands there in German football.”
