the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky made a proposal to send $ 2.9 billion received under the agreements for the continuation of transit of gas from Gazprom on the development of medicine and the realization of infrastructure projects. As the head of the Ukrainian state, it is planned to allocate funds to health sector and energy efficiency, as well as the construction of roads and other infrastructure projects.
Zelensky suggested the government to prepare the necessary documents within two weeks, RIA Novosti reported.
30 Dec 2019, “Gazprom” and “Naftogaz” signed a package of agreements concerning the continuation of gas supplies through Ukraine, including the transit contract for the period of 5 years. Both sides refused lawsuits that have not made decisions, and “Gazprom” in the Stockholm court verdict had paid Ukraine $ 2.9 billion.
