The young Formula 1-hope Christian Lundgaard made a significant impression on the Formula 1 stars, when he on Sunday made his debut in the on-line version of the F1.

Here was the Formula 2-driver number two – second only to Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

Christian Lundgaard asked to start for Renault, where he is a part of the bilfabrikkens talentprogram and hope for a permanent place in one of the team racers in the course of the next year.

Until then, Christian Lundgaard taste of Formula 1 via his computer-simulator in the home of his father, rallykøreren Henrik Lundgaard, Hedensted.

And he is actually sitting in the simulator, since the B. T. catches him on Wednesday evening.

“I’m sitting in the simulator now and should run against Norris.” says Christian Lundgaard.

you Must run against Norris – that mclaren’s Lando Norris?

“Yes, we have such a group chat, where we meet new people and write. If another member is online, we hear each other, whether we should run together,” explains Christian Lundgaard.

It is some of the quite heavy talents and the Formula 1 stars, Christan Lundgaard sitting and chatting with these days.

The most he put to the wall in the simulator the other day.

And it stands to Christian Lundgaard, he gets the chance again.

“There is the next race in China (online ed.), and I have had a little fat in the Renault and asked if I should run it or not. So, I would like to reach to exert myself a little and run some laps,” he says, and continues:

“They don’t know it quite yet. It comes just depends on who they want to run from a marketing point of view.”

Because it is in China, it is obvious for Renault to choose their second akademikører, chinese Zhou.

But it is not safe, he may, assess Christian Lundgaard.

“He is in China now, and he has, as far as I know, not a simulator over there.”

the Race in China is run on the small 14 days and may get again a dane in one of the computerstyrrede cars.

If it happens hope Christian Lundgaard, that it will be just as cozy as when the drivers simulated a Formula 1 in Melbourne, Australia.

“It went fairly well, yes. There was no pressure because it is just a game. But I think we all had a feast. It was fucking nice, and all of us who ran the race, was raced against each other from one o’clock in the afternoon and forward to the race at 21,” says the dane.
