music Day (or fête, Fête de la Musique) takes place in France on June 21 for nearly 40 years, and recently participated in the festival to 130 different countries, including Russia and the United States. Its main idea is to popularize the music among the people and give the opportunity to fans to share the stage with professionals. Usually the concerts are held under the open sky.

In 2020, despite the restrictions imposed due pandemic coronavirus, the government did not cancel the traditional festival. The Ministry of culture warned that the concerts in the premises can be carried out only in accordance with restrictions, and street performances in the same place should be no more than ten people.
