the Athlete has supported the compatriot, noting that the fight against racism is necessary and not window dressing. According to Karjakin, nobody needs to take a knee on someone’s orders. Rider noted that in place of Kvyat would have done exactly the same.

July 5, Kvyat, along with five other pilots of “Formula-1” refused to get down on one knee before the race at the Grand Prix of Austria. The event was dedicated to the fight against racism. Winning the race was won by Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes. The Russians couldn’t get to the finish line.

Earlier Kvyat was supported by former world Boxing champion and current state Duma Deputy Nikolai Valuev. The athlete called the action before the start of the race in political populism.
