In Windows 10 (2004) revealed another problem. Reportedly, the system has released new drivers for many devices, however, they cannot always correctly install. It is reported that the upgrade process often ends up halfway and gives error.
According to the official Microsoft forum which discusses the problem, Windows update is trying to install older drivers, although the new may already be in the system. This happens every time checking for updates and crashes.
At the moment no final decision, as a temporary you can try to block the update of the specific driver. This is done as follows:
- Use Troubleshooter “Show or hide updates”
- to Hide the driver that does not need to be updated
- Reboot.
Then, Windows will not install hidden drivers or updates. However, this is only a “crutch”. It remains to wait in Redmond released a patch to solve the problem.
