The team WhatsApp is preparing to add to the iOS version of messenger support QR codes. The novelty has already appeared in beta 2.20.60.27.

Users will be able to share your personal QR-code (and hence phone number) so that new friends can add them to WhatsApp. In the case of sending the image to the wrong person or accidental publication, the user can immediately remove the old QR code and generate a new one.

Support of QR-codes in beta-the Android version should appear soon.

Earlier NEWS.ru told that the Commissioner of the German government on data protection matters Ulrich Kelber cautioned the Federal government from using the WhatsApp messenger. He explained that when sending messages the messenger obtains metadata that is then sent to Facebook.
