The final word on the amendments to the Constitution could only citizens of Russia, said President Vladimir Putin.

The President noted that the vote on the amendment showed a high level of consolidation of the society.
Putin instructed the government to fully implement the priority value of amendments to the Constitution in the budget, Federal programs and national projects.
On Friday, the President signed a decree on amendments to the Russian Constitution, the decree shall enter into force from the day of its signing, the amendments themselves – with the 4th of July.
The Russian Central election Commission has processed 100% of protocols of a nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution. The amendment was voted 77,92% of Russian citizens, against – of 21.27%. The turnout was 67,97%. The head of the Central election Commission, Ella Pamfilova called the vote on the Constitution is completely legitimate.
