A former head of Britain’s MI6 intelligence agency believes there could be one in Russia soon – by 2023 at the latest. Various reports support this assumption. And there is said to be a potential successor for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Is Vladimir Putin really sick? There is a lot of speculation about the state of the Russian President, but there is no evidence of an alleged illness.

Sir Richard Dearlove is one of those people who believe that Putin really is sick. The former head of the British secret service MI6 assumes that Putin will end up in a medical facility in the long term. “We are reaching the end of this regime in Russia,” Dearlove said. “I think he will be gone by 2023. But probably in a sanatorium from which he will not come out again as the leader of Russia.” This is one way to bring Putin out of power without a coup.

Dearlove was the head of MI6 from 1999 to 2004. He made his predictions about Putin as part of the One Decision podcast, which he co-hosts.

Dearlove’s prediction joins recent reports from various sources suggesting that Putin is ill and may soon lose power in Russia. Dearlove also said there is no succession plan in the Russian leadership. But should Putin go to a medical facility in the long term, the most likely person to move up is Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia.

Christo Grozev, a Russian security expert with the Bellingcat investigative group, said last week senior Kremlin security officials believe the war in Ukraine is “lost” and that Putin is losing control of the country’s leadership.

The head of Ukraine’s military intelligence service, Kyrylo Budanov, also told Sky News last week that Putin was in “very bad mental and physical condition” and that he was “very ill”. Former British spy Christopher Steele told the medium something similar. Sources have told him that Putin is seriously ill and is regularly leaving meetings for medical treatment, which is contributing to “increasing disorder in the Kremlin.”

However, there is no official information about Putin’s health. Reports repeatedly mention possible diseases such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease and blood cancer.

Since the invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin’s family has also been in the public eye. Now it comes out: Putin’s daughter was regularly with a Munich plastic surgeon.

It has now been three months since Vladimir Putin ordered Russian troops to invade Ukraine on February 24. So far, the Russian army has not been able to achieve its goals, and experts fear that the war could drag on for a long time.

The former head of the British secret service MI6 expects a change of power in Russia – no later than 2023. Various reports support this assumption. And there is said to be a potential successor for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
